How to connect AirPods to PS4

I am wondering if it'd be possible to connect the airpods to the PlayStation, that way i can talk to my friends through them instead of having to get a new mic.

Yes they work fine I been using AirPods for over 2 years now only works through the ps app tho can't actually connect them to the console.
